Firefly – the short-lived sci-fi series that was Joss Whedon first series after his smash hit Buffy the Vampire Slayer – has been rebooted, but only as an online video game developed by gamemaker Sparkplug, it was announced at the 2014 Comic Con in San Diego. Although it will not be reappearing on television, smartphone, tablet or laptop screens in its original format, the entire cast of the series has agreed to reprise their roles for the online game which has an undetermined release date.
Firefly ran for only 14 episodes on Fox between 2002-03.
