SpongeBob SquarePants is serving as ambassador for the 2014 charity drive for Jeans for Genes in the UK. Nickelodeon’s famous fry cook and friends will be swapping square pants for denim ones in the charity’s trademark tradition, hoping to raise even more money Friday 19th September.
Working to raise money on behalf of Genetic Disorders UK, Jeans For Genes is an ongoing charity drive that encourages people of all age groups across the land to switch out their usual leg wear for denim jeans in order to raise donations to help children throughout the UK. With a base annual target of £2 million, it’s important that as many people as possible pitch in. The residents of Bikini Bottom will be helping out not only by appearing in adverts for the charity but by appearing on a set of trolley token keyrings that can be purchased from the charity’s official online store.
